Conversation with Qi Yu

Qi Yu is two month plus now. What tickle me most about her is her interest in having a conversation with people. She could hold a "convesation" by cooing with me or hubby for about half an hour per session. She would coo and smile as we talk to her. So every evening I look forward to go home and have a chat with her. what amaze me is that she would keep the eyes contact. Must be an expert in communication!
Qi Yu is a cheerful girl, true to her name, meaning cheerful. Every morning when she wakes up, she will smile and when we talk to her she will be all smile as well. I just loves her smiles.
I notice she is beginning to turn or least working hard on trying to turn over. I actually saw her turn over once about two week ago when I put her on her stomach. She can hold her head quite steadily and looks around when on her stomach. Baby bring us so much joys!

Looking Back

When I think of the two girls, my heart just overflow with thanksgiving. God indeed has blessed me with two of the most beautiful angels and gift in life. On the day when I was in lobor, Qi Ning waited for me at the hospital. She left after seeing me and baby in the wee hour of the morning. That time she was still not fully recover yet and was down with flu. That made her quite clingy.
After I discharge from the hospital, that was where real adjustment come about for Qi Ning. She now has to share mummy with meimei. Due to her health at that time, it was hard for her initially. For the first week, Qi Ning would wake up whenever I wake up to nurse Qi Yu, sometime she would cries, sometime she would hold on to me, refused to let me get up. But later she would let me go but stays awake to keep me company. She would also set up the seat for me to nurse Qi Yu. Qi Ning also pass her germ to her meimei, Qi Yu caught the flu bugs from Qi ning, was coughing and had running nose during the first week home.
It was a real testing time for me during the first week of my confinement. Having to deal with two sickly girls and also my own C-section pain. But God was incredibably good to me. He quicken the step of my C-section recovery. I could get up of bed without much pain in the very early stage, maybe within the first week of my c-section.
Now the two girls are best of pal, Qi Yu will smile whenever her jiejie call up to her and Qi ning just loves her little meimei and will running to get her diaper whenever we need to change for Qi Yu. She wants to carry her meimei every so often. Such joys to see them growing up together!

Updates!

Time flies so fast when you are having fun! Two months of maternity leave has gone past. I am back at work today. For the past two month, I have not touch the computer, now is the time for some updates.
Baby Qi Yu was born on 7 November, I tried for natural birth but still end up with a C-section but most importantly baby is well. She was 3.65kg at birth and now is probably 5kg oledi! The wonder of mummy's milk! When people see her so chubby and ask what brand of milk she drinks, I will proudly declare mummy's brand, only produce by mummy for her baby only!
November was a challenging month for me. My due date was on 4Nov, which is a Saturday. Since on that day, there was no sign of baby wanting to come out yet, hubby suggest we go shopping at Mid-Valley. Qi Ning was very happy but the happy venture end up to be a bad experience for her. We ate at the food court during lunch and she probably got food poisioning after eating there. The vommiting was so bad that she was dehydrated by the evening and doctor recommended that we admit her. So instead of mummy going to hospital for delivery, it was Qi Ning who was hospitalised, I stayed with her for the night. After one night at the hospital, Qi Ning seem to be ok so mummy request for discharge on 5 Nov as mummy was very tired. However, mummy later discovered that it was a bad judgement on mummy's part to ask for discharge so soon, as no sooner than when we reached home, Qi Ning "ciri-birit" begins!
On 5 Nov midnight, I had contraction and a slight show. In the morning, I told hubby that I may be in labour but the contraction is not very regular yet. Went for check-up and the gynae told me to admit if the contraction is more regular as the VE shows only 1 cm dilation. I was admitted on the 6 Nov afternoon. It was quite a long labour to no avail and I had a emergency c-section at about 4am on 7 Nov. Baby Qi Yu made her apperance at 4.16am.
